Bottom's Dream Natural Parfum - Peach, Floral

Bottoms' Dream natural botanical perfume is whimsical, fruity, fun, and flirty. You love it because you gravitate toward scents that are unique and maybe just a tad elusive.
Fans of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” know Bottom as the teller of lover’s tales. His namesake scent evokes the romance of roses and jasmine, made playful and jammy by the addition of juicy peach. Herbaceous tagetes, and a twist of green from araucaria, give the scent a slight black licorice aroma at first, subsiding to allow the sweetness of the peach to shine through, while the roses and jasmine come out to play in the scent’s third act. This is not a loud, “in your face” floral composition, but one that is playful, flirty and romantic.
Bottom is the scent to wear when you’re feeling spritely, mischievous, and in the mood for love.
Notes: Peach accord, palmarosa, jasmine grandiflorum, rose Maroc, tagetes, araucaria
Bottom's Dream will come in a teardrop shaped glass bottle, with a glass stopper applicator. This bottle holds 1/3 oz of perfume. Bottom's Dream arrives nestled in our signature black gift box. Perfect for yourself or for a gift for someone special!
Bottom's Dream botanical perfume was created specially for "A Midsummer Night's Dream ~ A Scent Event" that I organized. The premise was to create a perfume based on A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, whether that be on a character, theme or idea. There were 16 participating perfumers, and 12 blogs. The perfumes were then sent to blogs, and written about from June 14-24, surrounding Midsummer.
A smattering of comments from the blogs that received Bottom's Dream:
Scent Hive review:
Bottom's Dream refers to Shakespeare's character, Nick Bottom, who unbeknownst to him, ends up with an ass's head instead of his own. Titania, queen of the fairies falls in love with him in spite of his donkey face because she has been anointed with a love potion. Amanda too has created a love potion of sorts, because you know what? I am in love with it!
When I first read that a "handmade peach accord" was in the mix, I hoped that meant osmanthus would be a prominent note, and it is. I absolutely adore the fleshy peachiness of osmanthus which is why "Bottom's Dream" is a success for me. It possesses the peachy sweetness of summer drinks and fresh blossoms at a garden party. Beautiful florals reside in the blend, most notably a fruity rose and a honeyed jasmine that swirl above, below and through the diaphanous osmanthus petals. A very subtle wash of marigold provides an earthy haze and musky pepperiness that keeps "Bottom's Dream" from floating away too quickly. It stays on the skin for several hours giving this osmanthus lover plenty to dream about.
From Scott Ellis and Le Parfumeur Rebelle:
Bottom's Dream, and it's completely different from Pixie Dust. It's a heavy, thick smelling perfume, like mums and dark green leaves. The longer it is on my skin, the bigger it gets, and the bigger the flowers in it grow. This is a surprising perfume. It's one of those perfumes that when you first put it on you don't think it's going anywhere, like it's not very complicated, but then the longer you wear it the more stuff seems to come out and maybe if you didn't think it was all that great to begin with, you end up really liking it. It smells like a drive through the orange orchards on the way to the river on a really hot day, only the orange blossoms grow and grow and mix with the smells of the slow moving murky green water of the river. This perfume is a trickster.
From Beth at The Windesphere Witch:
Bottoms dream is altogether a completely different perfume than Pixie Dust...Bottoms Dream reminds me of a fabulous peachy cocktail garnished with raspberry puree and bubbly and served in a beautiful glass. It's playful nature makes me want to put on a lovely dress and go dancing with my dashing husband . Amanda may not have meant to provoke all of my Southern Belle fantasies but she did and Bottoms dream is definitely that because her rose and jasmine accords are the olfactory equivalent of a wink and a curtsy. I want to bath in this (How about a bubble bath Amanda?) because it makes me giggle. Like a perfect coral lipstick and just the right toenail polish, Bottoms Dream has the distinct feeling of a wonderful night of heavy petting (Isn't that what our mothers used to call it!) with definitely the wrong sort of boy nestled behind curtains of Spanish moss, half naked and sprawled indelicately on the soft grass.
